This November, let’s talk a little more about Domestic Violence.
Many of us are directly or indirectly affected by domestic violence. Reports show that one woman a week, and one man a month dies from domestic violence.
Domestic Violence is so much more than just physical violence, and it’s going to affect our community, unless we take action now.
100 Women in Solidarity is a Zen Tea event that brings people together to share stories and openly discuss the subject of domestic violence. If you’re someone experiencing domestic violence, or simply a bystander wanting to make a change in your community, then this event is for you.
In solidarity with the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, our event is created to raise awareness on the personal impact of domestic violence, and the support mechanisms available from our professional speakers.
Change starts in small actions, whether in the community or workplace, and this event will give you the tools needed to address these issues with your friends, family and community. It is in collaboration with counselling services, community sectors, schools and local authority, and is proudly funded by Fairfield City Council.
